The folks behind Mid-Market's temporary meal market The Hall are aware that $12 salads and $11 vegan sandwiches aren't accessible to all, especially to many of their neighbors living nearby in the Tenderloin. But what's in your wallet won't matter this coming Wednesday evening, as they plan to open the doors to all for a free holiday feast.
To help make this charitable event possible, neighbors with means are invited to purchase tickets to a prix fixe dinner — featuring seasonal dishes like pineapple-crusted ham steak, sweet potato pie and mulled wine— from 6-9pm Tuesday, Dec. 22nd. Proceeds from each ticket ($48.47 after the processing fee) help The Hall offer the same feast to two people free of charge the following night.
Tickets to Tuesday's ticketed affair are expected to sell out, so get yours before it's too late. RSVPs aren't necessary for Wednesday's meal; dinner will be served until supplies run out.
