Another barrage of infrastructural madness landed on the Upper Haight this week with more sinkholes and a parking closure for unrelated work that occurred in and around, but didn't fix, the sinkholes. And according to the city, all work on the street will cease through the holiday retail season.

In this week's newsletter, SFPD's Park Station offered a new suggestion to neighbors interested in curbing public drug use: snitching. "Whenever you see or smell someone smoking marijuana or using drugs, call the police and provide afull description of the individual, including any vehicles and license plates." We've contacted Park Station regarding the new recommendation, but haven't received comment so far as to how that's panning out.

Mayor Lee promised to end homelessness in the city, a topic of major interest to Haight locals.

Next week will see a Board of Supervisors hearing reviewing, among other things, the proposed (and Mayor-opposed) legislation to de-prioritize bicycle stop violations.

And if you're finally ready for the weekend, this week's highlight is unquestionably the chance to meet Giorgio Moroder, the inimitable DJ and, dare we say it, founder of disco.

Following a show tonight at 1015 Folsom, Moroder will be at Amoeba signing his new release, Déjà Vu (must  be purchased at Amoeba). Moroder has produced such leading lights as—ready?—Donna Summer, Blondie, Cher, Bowie, Janet Jackson, Lady Gaga, and many, many more. Get your glam on.
