According to tipster Cory S., a homeless man who goes by the name P.N. thwarted an attempted ATM robbery this weekend at Sutter and Leavenworth streets.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 10th, P.N. spotted two masked men with bolt cutters at an ATM inside Yogi Food Market. The store's door was open, and the security alarm was blaring.

Concerned, P.N. yelled out to the police and at the masked men, asking what they were doing. Spooked by the interruption, the alleged robbers jumped into a dark blue vintage van and fled the scene. (We reached out to the SFPD to confirm the details of the incident, but have yet to receive a response.)
