Women-Led Art Collective CTRL+SHFT Makes Its Debut in Oakland

On the evening of January 29th, CTRL+SHFT, a newly formed women-led arts collective, showcased its first group exhibition, SOFT SERVE, in Oakland. At the intersection of 34th St. and Louise St., the intimate opening was packed and full of vibrant energy. Artist and collective member Channing Morgan explained that the CTRL+SHFT members want to make sure that experimental artistic spaces continue to exist in the Bay Area— spaces where artists can “throw the nitty shit that they thought they couldn’t throw anywhere else!” The SOFT SERVE exhibition will be on display until February 19th.
