When I got off at the Embarcadero BART station yesterday, I ran straight into the hustle and bustle of pre-Super Bowl preparations including street closures, pedestrian and motor vehicle detours, Super Bowl paraphernalia sellers and a lot of police officers and special operations officers with police batons to machine guns. All of this led me to the entrance of Super Bowl City, a fan village created to celebrate the milestone 50th Super Bowl. Super Bowl City is open from January 30th-February 7th. If you need to get around that part of town over the next few days, be sure to give yourself extra time.
