The nexus of 10th and Market lost donut shop Happy Donuts a few months back, but an East Bay import is coming in to fill the void. According to Inside Scoop, donut shop Doughnut Dolly, which has locations in Oakland and Berkeley, is opening a small kiosk in the Twitter building, just outside of The Market and right across from Dirty Water restaurant.
Founder Hannah Hoffman will serve her signature yeasted donuts stuffed with chocolate, jam, and "naughty cream" (a creme fraiche and vanilla bean cream), as well as prepared sandwiches and savory donuts with fillings like pulled pork. The kiosk should open by the end of May.
