If you're hoping to be among the first to set eyes on the freshly expanded SFMOMA, then it's time to plan ahead. The museum's May 14th grand reopening is still a month and a half away, but free  tickets to opening day go up for grabs at noon tomorrow, March 30th, at sfmoma.org.

After the inaugural ceremony to celebrate the museum's more-than-doubled exhibition space, as well as the debut of the Doris and Donald Fisher Collection, SFMOMA will open to the public from 10am-8pm. Each free ticket will offer a specific entry time; they're being issued in 15-minute increments.

If you'd prefer to skip the crowds and save your inaugural visit for a later date, the museum will be open from 10am-5pm seven days a week, through Labor Day. The art-filled, admission-free, wifi-enabled ground-floor will open up to all at 9am every day, and the entire museum will remain open until 9pm on Thursdays.

In the meantime, you can peruse all the new features that await at the museum's interactive website, and view the full lineup of inaugural exhibitions to plan your attack.
