The neighborhood is buzzing after a successful North Beach Festival last weekend and excitement for tomorrow night's game seven of the Warriors championship series.

And in this week's Central Station newsletter, Captain David Lazar writes that he will have additional officers on patrol in "hot spot" areas starting around the first quarter of the game. Those areas, he writes, are Grant Avenue and Green Street, Broadway and Columbus Avenue, Coit Tower and Fisherman's Wharf.

Also, the next "Coffee With a Cop" meeting will take place Tuesday June 21st from 8-10am at Caffe Greco at 432 Columbus Ave. Officers will be at the cafe to have coffee with members of the community and talk about neighborhood issues. It's a great way for folks to get to know the cops who patrol the neighborhood.

Capt. Lazar also thanks Officers David Nastari and Mike Ellis from the Traffic Company for successfully ticketing unsafe driving practices on Broadway between Powell Street and Columbus Avenue. "Officers wrote six citations for texting while driving, 10 citations for talking on a cell phone, two citations for making a u-turn in a business district, and one citation for failing to yield to a pedestrian in the crosswalk. I am grateful for their assistance as we work to make traffic safety a priority!"

And now for your weekly crime roundup, culled from SFPD reports from Central Station.
