The man found dead yesterday morning at the Westfield mall at Fifth and Market has been identified as 28-year-old Frank Galicia, a line chef at Sons & Daughters in Union Square, the Chronicle reports today.
Galicia was a "beloved" member of the Michelin-rated restaurant's 12-person kitchen crew, the paper noted, and his colleagues sensed something was wrong when he didn't show up for work Wednesday.
Sons & Daughters is closed today as the team processes the news.
The SFPD has confirmed that Galicia’s death is being investigated as a homicide, but has yet to disclose the cause of death or whether any suspects have been identified.
