The Tenderloin Police Station is getting ready to host another community job fair at The Hall from 2-5pm tomorrow.
The job fair is the station's second this summer, bringing together a slew of Mid-Market employers, job placement firms and career development nonprofits to help young people find employment, stay off the streets and out of trouble, Tenderloin Police Captain Teresa Ewins told the Chronicle last month.
Residents of all ages are welcome to stop by and get the ball rolling on fresh employment opportunities. So far, 19 organizations have confirmed their participation, including Bloomingdales, Black Cat, Popsons and The Market on Market.
Ilana Lipsett, community manager at The Hall, says more than 150 job seekers passed through during last month's three-hour job fair, and they've heard that a few attendees have already gotten jobs and begun earning paychecks.
