It's another busy weekend of events in the neighborhood, so let's dive into all the action.

San Francisco Fleet Week is here, and that means plenty of sailors and service members descending on the city—and potentially the Castro—this weekend. If you're looking for a place to catch a glimpse of the Blue Angels as they zip by over the city, but don't want to head all the way over to Aquatic Park or the Marina Green, consider heading up to some of the neighborhood's peaks, like Tank Hill and Corona Heights.

After sweeping the dreaded Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend to clinch the final Wild Card playoff spot, the Giants are in New York tonight to take on the Mets in a one game, loser-go-home situation. So throw on your orange and black and head over to any number of neighborhood bars like SF Mix, Pilsner Inn, Lookout and Hi Tops to catch the game. First pitch is at 5:09pm. GO GIANTS!

On Thursday night, join State Senate candidate and District 6 Supervisor Jane Kim for a community forum discussion. Topics will include protecting renters from eviction, affordable housing, free community college, and housing for the homeless, especially LGBTQ youth. (Editor's Note: Community Forum has been moved to Sunday, October 23rd from 5:30-7pm at Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy)

Head over to Strut on Friday night for its monthly art opening. In this month's show from artist Damon McLay, curiosity leads to vibrant photographs that use cylindrical reflections to create astonishing beauty from everyday objects.

Peaches Christ and RuPaul's Drag Race Season 5 winner Jinkx Monsoon join forces Saturday night at the Castro Theatre for their drag-driven musical send-up of Return to Grey Gardens. The stage show is immediately followed by a screening of the original 1975 classic documentary film.

The Castro Theatre pays tribute to the recently passed Gene Wilder on Sunday and Monday with four of his most well known films. See Wilder is his most iconic roles from Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, The Producers, Blazing Saddles and Stir Crazy.
