
Traffic on Van Ness Avenue at Eddy Street was forced to detour after a vehicle fire this afternoon.

Hoodline tipster Sean I. sent in the above photo of smoke pouring out of the vehicle, which was sitting in a northbound lane on Van Ness. He added that firefighters pulled a propane tank from the vehicle, which may have contributed to the flames.

The fire has been contained, and the SFMTA has tweeted that bus service is resuming in the area.
UPDATE: Delay at Van Ness and Eddy has cleared. Northbound 47 & 49 resuming regular svc.
