After days of warm temperatures, this winter's heavy rains may seem like just a distant memory. But tomorrow, you'll have to bring those rain boots, umbrellas and wind-resistant coats back out of the closet.

As SFGate reports, a deep low-pressure storm is expected to roll into the Bay Area tomorrow and Friday, bringing heavy rains and high winds—up to 50 miles per hour—to San Francisco. The bad weather may extend into Saturday, which has a 40 percent chance of showers.

Estimated rainfall is roughly two to four inches in the coastal mountains, while the city can expect one to one-and-a-half inches.

Those 50-mph winds are also sure to snarl some commutes. Steve Anderson, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service, says he's more concerned about the wind this storm will produce than the rain, and expects that the gales may take down some trees, and even power lines.

Anderson warns commuters, especially those who drive across bridges, that cross winds may make the Friday-morning commute a dangerous one. Drivers of empty box trucks should be particularly careful.

In a stroke of bad timing, tomorrow is Walk to Work Day, where people who live and work in San Francisco are encouraged to walk for at least 15 minutes of their daily commutes. So if you're planning to stroll to work tomorrow, be sure to dress appropriately.
