A buzzy new spot to score sugary treats has opened for business in the neighborhood. Located at 6977 N Sheridan Rd. (between Lunt Ave & Morse Ave) in Rogers Park, the fresh addition is called XO Marshmallow.
With a menu of hot and cold espresso drinks, hot chocolate, s'mores and dream bars made from house-made marshmallows, the business bills itself as the world's first ever "marshmallow cafe":
What is a marshmallow cafe you ask? We created a full service espresso bar full of marshmallow based treats such as whoopie pies, s'mores, toasted marshmallow lattes and more! All of our marshmallows are made in house and are full of LOVE! They come in a variety of fun flavors such as lavender honey, bourbon, salted caramel and more.

With a 5-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, XO Marshmallow seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
L M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 25th, said: "Tried the strawberry mallow and very yummy, not too overpowering of strawberry flavor and perfect texture of marshmallow goodness."
Yelper Em S. added: "This place is quite cute! I got their classic s'more with a chocolate kahlua marshmallow. It was quite messy to eat and I wish I was given a napkin with it (hint hint) but overall and enjoyable."
And Abe I. said: "Cute little cafe fronted by some awesome women. The interior was very unicorn-like and and they provide a variety of ways to consume marshmallows--from s'mores tacos to marshmallow infused frozen drinks."
