A new Korean spot, offering chicken wings and Korean specialties, has made its debut in the neighborhood. The new addition to Chinatown, called Bonchon Chicken, is located at 2163 S China Pl. (between Wells St & Princeton Ave).

This is the first outpost in Chicago for the South Korean chicken joint, which already has multiple locations in New York, California, Ohio, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina and more.

At this casual eatery, you'll be able to order the spicy signature fried chicken or the soy garlic wings, which come with a side of Korean pickled radish. Along with fried chicken, you'll also find an extensive menu featuring classic Korean plates, such as tteokbokki (Korean rice and fish cakes), bibimbap, japchae, bull dak, and more for less than $15 each.

Bonchon Chicken has proven popular thus far, with a 5.0-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.

Lily Z., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 3rd, said: "For a soft opening, I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I haven't had Bonchon since 2011 in the DMV area. I hoped to eat here before I moved away and my dreams came true!"

Yelper Chris H. added: "The Best Korean fried chicken on earth. Stays crispy until the last piece. Offers many specialty Korean drinks and my favorite is champaign with Bonchon fried chicken. I am so glad we have it in Chicago!"

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Bonchon Chicken is open daily from noon to 8pm.
