If desserts are what you're after, look no further than this new business. The fresh addition to Chinatown, called Ice Max, is located at 2227 S Wentworth Ave. (between Alexander St & 22nd Pl).

It's all about frozen treats at the new addition, which offers a spread of refreshing drinks and dessert items on its two-page menu. There are six different types of milkshakes, ranging from classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla to wild berry and black sesame. Thai-style rolled ice cream is on offer for $5.50, with options like strawberry cheesecake, lime graham cracker, Nutella and banana and more, and a menu of sweet crepes ranges in price from $6.25 to $7.50.

With a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, Ice Max has made a promising start.

James V., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 13th, said: "Disclaimer this is based off their soft opening. To be honest when looking at the menu some of their flavors stick out in terms of being more unique than places like AHA crêpe. They also have Thai rolled ice cream and shakes."

Yelper Tina C. added: “Trendy place, went to soft opening so there wasn't a huge wait (compared to legendary tasty house.) Ice cream is rolled right in front of you, and which is most of the novelty."

You can anticipate spending less than $10 per person on a visit to Ice Max, as it's marked as one dollar sign on Yelp.

Ice Max is now open at 2227 S Wentworth Ave., so stop in to try it for yourself.
