A new Irish pub and New American spot, offering burgers and more, has opened for business in the neighborhood. The newcomer to Old Town, called Lady Gregory's, is located at 1525 N Wells St. (between Burton Pl & North Ave).
The restaurant, which was previously located in Andersonville, has finally re-opened for business in Old Town. The new space incorporates some signature looks from the former location, like the fireplaces and wine room, as well as new additions, such as the U-shaped bar and a library.
Diners who are familiar with the old menu will be happy to hear that not much has changed in the switchover. From starters and small bites to burgers, salads and everything in between, the expansive menu has something for everyone. (See the full menu here.)
Lady Gregory's has made a good impression thus far, with a four-star rating out of 10 reviews on Yelp.
David T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 22nd, said: "Best service... Even they call us Uber with very friendly face. I loved the food and excellent service!!!"
Yelper Yale R. added: “Lady G's brings the HEAT! Easily the top club / Irish bar / lounge / fine dining spot combo in all of Old Town. The music was so loud I couldn't hear a thing but who cares when Biebs is banging his summer anthems!”
And Mike W. said: "Brand new place in a great location on Wells Street. They did an incredible job with the interior design and especially the design of the bar and the two semi-private rooms in the back."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Lady Gregory's is open Saturday from 11am–3am, and Sunday–Friday from 11am–2am.
