If coffee and tea are what you're after, look no further than this new business. Called Ground Up, the fresh addition is located at 910 W Van Buren St. in the West Loop.

Open since July 1st, the new coffee spot features a clean, industrial look, with exposed duct work, white subway tiles, and plenty of seating for students and locals alike. (Yes, there's free wifi.)

Coffee is the star here, with a plethora of options on offer, from cold brew to pour-overs to nitro, plus a lineup of more traditional espresso drink options. Look for pastries and other baked goods to nibble on, as well as more hearty midday options, like the ham and cheese pie, turkey sandwich and BLT wrap.

With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, Ground Up is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Mike C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 6th, said: "So happy about this spot. Finally a coffee shop with great coffee and great food. Ground up has been a godsend for us. It is a local coffee house with a customer first approach."

Yelper Chris S. added: “Awesome addition in the West Loop area. Nicest service and ownership. Family owned. Frappe's are to die for. I had two already and may get a third one. Fresh croissants and baked goods."

And C R. said: "Excellent Frappe and great pastries. I was really excited to see this place move into the neighborhood: the West Loop needs more great coffee!"
