Hungry? A new neighborhood breakfast and brunch spot has you covered. Located at 5060 N Clark St. (between Carmen Ave & Winnemac Ave) in Uptown, the new addition is called Dollop Diner.

Dan Weiss, the owner of Dollop Coffee, already has 11 coffee shops throughout the city. But he can now add a diner to his growing list of business ventures.

Weiss and chef Keith Kreuser (who some of you may know as his rapper alter ego, Verbal Kent) have joined hands to bring you classic American dishes in its new space, which has a 50-person dining room and a patio.

The latest addition in the neighborhood offers breakfast and lunch items, like chicken and waffles ($12), buttermilk pancakes ($8), a signature burger ($9), Caesar salad ($7) and more. Along with food offerings, the new diner has a wide selection of coffee, wine, cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to wash down your meal.

The newcomer has made a decent impression thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of 13 reviews on Yelp.

Brian Z., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 8th, said: "Great first experience. We stopped in and had a quick coffee (Metropolis, yum!) and dessert the other night and were both very pleased with the food, staff, and and casual atmosphere."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Dollop Diner is open Friday and Saturday from 8am–11pm, and Sunday–Thursday from 8am–10pm.
