A new eatery, offering poke, salad and "sushi burritos", has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 118 S Wabash Ave. in The Loop, the fresh addition is called Poke Poké.
The "sushi-crazed team" behind this new eatery loves the Hawaiian cuisine so much that it studied different variations of the poke bowl from all over the world before opening their store.
Similar to other poke restaurants, you'll start out by choosing a base before adding the protein, toppings and sauce. The regular bowl with three protein scoops will cost you $10.95, and the large bowl with five protein scoops will cost you $13.95.
If you're having trouble making up your mind, you can alternatively select from the restaurant's three signature bowls/burritos or specialty bowls, which range in price from $9.95-$24.95. (See the full menu here.)
Poke Poké has already attracted fans thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.
Nerissa T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 8th, said: "Seems like a bunch of new poke shops keep appearing in the city and which I can't complain about. I'm always searching for a good bowl of poke!"
Yelper Lilly W. added: “I love poke!! Glad to find this little gem near the Millennium Park in downtown when I was visiting Chicago. The decor is super contemporary and fresh. I did the half rice and half salad."
Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Poke Poké is open daily from 10:30am–7:30pm.
