All good things must come to an end—as well as some not-so-good ones. If you're ready to bring your relationship to a close (and would rather do it in public to avoid any unwanted drama), we've got your back. Here are five spots in Miami that are quiet and (relatively) private, allowing some space for tough conversations.
With its long stretch of open space surrounded by tons of greenery and the ocean to the right, the Miami Beach Boardwalk offers privacy to those that are ready to have the break up talk. You and your soon to be ex can choose to have the conversation on the go, on the beach or on one of the few benches that the path has to offer. After the awkward conversation, ditch the boardwalk and head onto the beach where you can soothe your broken heart with some Miami heat.
Marjory Stoneman Douglas Ocean Beach Park
SoFi

Named after an American journalist from the 1990s, Marjory Stoneman Douglas Ocean Beach Park has plenty of private corners for you and S/O to have "the talk." Since it's less crowded than other parks in the city, you'll have plenty of privacy and you won't have to worry about bystanders listening to your conversation. After the deed is done, you can either walk it off or grab a bike from the Deco bike station and clear your head.
Ted's Hideaway
SoFi
If you need a little bit of liquid courage to do the trick, then head over to Ted's Hideaway, a dive bar located one block away from the park mentioned above. Just like the name, feel free to hideaway at one of the tables in the casual, dimly lit bar, which offers happy hour deals from 12-8pm everyday. You and your ex may not walk out as friends, but at least you can drink your sorrows away without breaking the bank.
11th Street Diner
South Beach

This classic American diner has been around since 1992, so you can bet that the wait staff has seen is all. Depending on the person, if you know there's going to be some screaming and crying, pick a spot outside so you can have a bit of privacy. You can choose to eat a full meal or get through the conversation with a spiked milkshake, which comes in six different flavors. It's open all day Thursday -Saturday, so if don't want to be consoling your partner all night, we suggest you choose one of the remaining days.
Mister Block Cafe
Wynwood
The expansive coffee shop offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so you and your special someone can end the relationship in peace. Sitting across from the person and making eye contact can be very intimidating, so if that's the case, take the coffee to go and talk a stroll around the art walk. On the contrary, if talking isn't really your thing, you can always ask the barista to include a custom design in the drink and let the coffee do the talking.
