A new farmers market has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located at 7700 Mountain Blvd. in Caballo Hills, the fresh addition is called Millsmont Farmer's Market.
While a DJ entertains shoppers, vendors offer a wide range of seasonal produce, along with freshly-prepared foods like naan bread and freshly-brewed coffee.
Certified by the Alameda County Agricultural Commissioner, the new farmers market has made a good impression so far, with a four-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.
Devin M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 25th, said: "I thoroughly enjoyed this farmers market—it had a decent selection of produce, and a fresh fish booth with really tasty fish, and some really good smoke[d] salmon."
Yelper David N. added: “A small upstart with fresh produce, honey, baked goods, and and lively music. Also featuring Peruvian coffee and Indian food. I'm hoping they will be able to expand their offerings.”
And John H. said: "We LOVE this new farmer's market. Plenty of off-street parking in the Kaleo Christian Church parking lot off of Mountain just past Keller Ave. There's great produce and excellent coffee."
From June to October, Millsmont Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm at 7700 Mountain Blvd.
