Whether you're into discounted drinks or cheap eats, there's a lot to love about a quality happy hour. For those eager to seize a good deal and to unwind after a long day at work, we've rounded up seven of the best happy hours around town. 

Amada
Old City

The vibe: A classy contemporary tapas eatery owned and operated by Iron Chef Jose Garces.

The deal: $4 beers, $6 wines by the glass, $5-$8 sangria or specialty cocktails and $5 tapas. 

The time: Monday to Friday, 5-7pm. Available exclusively at the bar. 

Sampan
Market East

The vibe: A hip eatery, complete with a back patio and intricate lighting, that offers a variety of Asian dishes. 

The deal: $4 drink features, $9 cocktails, $25 scorpion bowls and $9-$25 for a glass of sake. In addition, there are sides, dumplings, buns/wraps, satay and crispy items for $3-$4. 

The time: Everyday from 4-7pm. 

Lloyd Whiskey Bar
Fishtown

The vibe: A charming tavern with a hefty list of whiskey and craft beers.

The deal: $6 specialty cocktails, which you can find on its Instagram page beforehand, and $4 High Life bottles. Appetizers are also $1 off. 

The time: Everyday from 5-8pm.

Tequilas
Rittenhouse Square

The vibe: A laid-back Mexican restaurant with a creative list of cocktails.

The deal: $6 traditional margaritas or sangria and $7-$9 small plates.

The time: Monday-Friday from 2-6:30pm.

Ela
Queen Village

The vibe: A new American restaurant with a hip industrial feel serving up an assortment of small plates. 

The deal: $3 beer, $5 wine, $4-$6 cocktails and $6-$11 bar bites. Additionally, $22 cheese tastings and oysters for $18 or $33. 

The time: Sunday-Friday from 5-7pm and 10pm-12am Thursday evenings. 

Abe Fisher
Rittenhouse Square/Penn Center

The vibe: A minimalist, upscale restaurant with a $39 prix-fixe menu and a solid list of cocktails. 

The deal:  $7 wine and cocktails and $5 bar bites.

The time: Monday to Sunday from 5-7pm. 

South
Fairmount
