
If you haven't jumped at the chance to experience the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love, this weekend is a good time to start.
Tonight, celebrate flower power with an outdoor happy hour in the Presidio. On Friday, the de Young Museum will host local musicians recreating the Grateful Dead's 1967 debut album.
On Saturday, the SF Aquarium kicks off its Summer of Love week with a host of environmental awareness exhibits. Park Branch library also gets into the swing of things with a 1960s fashion show.

It all leads up to the main event on Sunday: the 15th anniversary of Jerry Day, a celebration of Excelsior native and Grateful Dead frontman Jerry Garcia, hosted at the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater in McLaren Park.
Also this weekend, there's the 44th annual Nihonmachi Street Fair in Japantown (bring the pup on Sunday), a street soccer tournament in Mission Bay and El Rio's six annual Dolly Parton Hoot in Bernal Heights. Finally, who wouldn't enjoy a free outdoor showing of Kevin Bacon's "Footloose?"
