In need of some comic books? A new business has you covered. Called Atlas Comics, the new arrival is located at 5251 N Harlem Ave. in Norwood Park.

Atlas Comics—owned by comic book author John Stangeland—closed its original location four years ago and went completely online. Now, Stangeland is back with a new retail establishment, featuring a large selection of both new and back-issue comics and graphic novels.

There's an array of kids' comics and action figures on offer as well.

With just one review on Yelp thus far, Atlas Comics currently has a five-star rating.

Mark B., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on September 29th, said: "Former Atlas owner John Stangeland was also a comic artist and so his original Atlas on Cumberland was about as good as you could find a couple of decades back; it wasn't unusual to catch him inking behind the counter."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Atlas Comics is open Wednesday–Friday from noon–7pm, Saturday from noon–5pm, and Sunday from noon–4pm. (It's closed on Monday and Tuesday.)
