A new sushi bar has opened for business in the neighborhood. Located at 3219 North Broadway. (between Melrose St & Belmont Ave) in Lake View, the fresh arrival is called Sushi + Rotary Sushi Bar.
This is Sushi + Rotary Sushi Bar's second location; the original is in Aurora. It specializes in Japanese-style kaiten sushi, also known as conveyor belt sushi.
There are a variety of of sushi options on offer, and prices are determined by the color of plate the fish is served on. Look for mainstays like uni, unagi, maguro, hamachi, tako, sake, and more.
The restaurant serves other popular Japanese dishes as well, like agedashi tofu, seaweed salad, bento boxes with chicken katsu curry, poke bowls, ramen and udon. (You can check out the full menu here.)
The new sushi bar has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.
Stephanie H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 18th, said: "Ahhhh! I am so excited for a conveyor belt sushi restaurant to finally be open near my apartment! And it's more than just sushi...there's ramen, udon, bento boxes, and bacon-wrapped shrimp."
Yelper Victoria K. added: “Great addition to the food scene in this area! There were plenty of helpful and attentive staff during the lunch hour. All of the seating and decor were nice and plentiful.”
