Here's a selection of crimes that have occurred in the area since our last roundup in early January. All reports were provided by SFPD, unless otherwise noted. 

Police arrest cellphone robbers

On February 3rd at 2:40am, two male suspects aged 24 and 18 approached a 22-year-old man near the corner of Gough and Grove, brandished a knife and demanded his cell phone.

After the victim complied, the suspects fled on foot, but police were able to track the device and locate the suspects before placing them under arrest.

Early morning altercation ends in stabbing

On January 29th at 5:55am, a man in his fifties argued with a 25-year-old man before stabbing him and fleeing in an undescribed vehicle.

The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries; no arrest has been made in the case.

Three muggers assault man before stealing wallet

On January 23rd around 3:30am, three male suspects in their twenties approached a 28-year-old man from behind near Van Ness Avenue and Market Street. The trio struck the victim over the head with an unknown blunt object and cut him with a knife.

The suspects stole the man's wallet and fled in an unknown direction. The victim, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, was transported to a hospital.

Robbery ends in stabbing

On January 14th around 11am, a man in his twenties approached a 22-year-old man from behind at Eddy and Fillmore streets, and demanded the victim's property before stabbing him and stealing his wallet.

After the suspect fled on foot, the victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Man assaulted in cellphone robbery

When a 34-year-old man was walking westbound on the 500 block of Fulton Street on January 12th shortly after midnight, three male suspects in their twenties approached him from behind.

After they weren't able to grab his backpack from his shoulders, all three men assaulted the victim and took his cellphone before fleeing in a vehicle southbound on Octavia Street.

Evening laptop robbery

A 32-year-old man was approached from behind from by multiple suspects between 18 and 23 years old on January 11th at 7:10pm near Van Ness Avenue and Fell Street.

One suspect pushed the victim to the ground, before others checked his pockets and took a backpack containing a laptop. All suspects fled eastbound on Fell Street.
