Sacramento performing arts institution B Street Theatre recently moved into its new home, The Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for The Arts.

Named for the arts-loving wife of prominent local developer Angelo Tsakopoulos, the new complex includes two state-of-the-art theaters and a café that will open in the spring, Sactown Magazine reports.

Yelp users are excited about The Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for The Arts, which currently holds five stars out of two reviews on the site.

Dolores E. noted: "Congratulations to all who made this new theater possible and to keeping it with the same small theater ambience as the original B Street theater. One suggestion: play the sound of a train going by before the show starts."

The Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for The Arts is open Monday–Saturday from 10am–7pm, and Sunday from 10am–4pm.

Gran Milan

Gran Milan is a new Italian eatery where diners can find everything from coffee and baked goods to pizza, focaccia and sandwiches. 

The eatery currently holds four stars out of seven reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

Yelper Lindsay B. wrote: "Love, love, love this bakery! I used to make the trek to Richmond for their treats—now I don't have to! I'm super excited and happy to have them in Sac! Everything is made fresh daily from the chefs."

And Mike R. noted: "A new eatery on the 1800 hundred block of L street. A wonderful Italian eatery with savory lunch and dinner items. An Italian bakery at heart, expect to see a wonderful display of baked goods."

Gran Milan is open Monday from 8:30am–5pm, and Tuesday–Saturday from 8:30am–7pm. (It's closed on Sunday.)

Jyros Twisted Gyros is a new eatery that offers a uniquely American take on classic Greek fare. Customers can build their own meals—including bowls, gyro sandwiches and salads—with options like naan, al pastor pork and chimichurri rice. Sauces and dressings like sriracha and cilantro lime are also available. 

Yelp users are generally positive about Jyros Twisted Gyros, which currently holds four stars out of 26 reviews on the site.

Yelper Jason R., who reviewed Jyros Twisted Gyros on February 27th, wrote: "The chicken is a perfect flavor I wish I could recreate at home. The pork is so flavorful and tasty—it's my favorite—and the beef hits the traditional flavor spot on. Jyro's has a simple menu, great sauces and a sides that complete the meal. "

Yelper Anissa R. wrote: "What an interesting 'twist' on gyros! I ordered the beef/lamb gyro sando on naan bread (as opposed to the traditional pita; think softer) with cucumbers, tomatoes and onions topped with the house tzatziki sauce."
