An 80-year-old woman was killed yesterday morning in the Ingleside district while crossing the street in front of the El Rey Theater, police have reported.

In the incident, which took place around 9am near the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Victoria Street, San Francisco resident Candida Duazo was in the crosswalk when she was struck by a driver who was turning eastbound onto Ocean Avenue.

Duazo was transported to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The driver, a 48-year-old man, remained at the scene and was not arrested.

Anyone who has information about this incident is encouraged to contact SFPD via the department's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444, or text TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.
