Coffee and tea fans, take heed: there's a new spot in Uptown to get your fix. Located at 2600 Cedar Springs Road in the Commons at Cedar Springs food hall, Ampersand joins a bevy of other offerings, including a taco joint, pizza place and pub.

Owned by Toan Luong, Ampersand's main location in Fort Worth is both coffee shop and bar. The new, smaller spot serves up Vietnamese iced coffee, lavender vanilla lattes and dirty chai lattes, among other specialty drinks.

The coffee shop, which bills itself as "a modern twist to the average cup of Joe," says on Yelp that it strives to create a welcoming environment for customers to congregate.

With a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Katie T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 8, said, “Just tried Ampersand coffee for the first time and I'm already in love. It's in a great location on the corner of Routh and Cedar Springs and is served in a common area with sushi, pizza, tacos and more. They have tons of options on the menu that sound great. I'll definitely be back!.”

And Tom T. said, "Great coffee and really great service. Staff patiently explained the menu choices, which are interesting and reasonably priced."
