Looking for organic or international groceries in Sacramento? One of these new supermarkets might have just what you're seeking. Here are the freshest places to stop next time you're in search of a market near you.
Market 5-One-5
915 R St., Downtown

Market 5-One-5 is an organic market that recently opened in the quickly evolving R Street Corridor.
The new location, by the owners of the Raley's chain of supermarkets, is focused on minimally processed, sustainable and organic foods, the Sacramento Bee reports. The 11,000-ft space, while smaller than most Raley's locations, is the first major grocery store to operate downtown in many years. It features a large deli section, butcher and pre-cooked foods for take-out, and serves wine, beer and kombucha on-site.
Market 5-One-5 currently holds 4.5 stars out of nine reviews on Yelp, indicating a positive reception so far.
Yelper Alex L., who reviewed Market 5-One-5 on May 15, praised the convenience and selection: "They had far more than I expected on their shelves, and a good mixture between popular national brands and local products like Temple Coffee and mixes from Preservation Co. ... The downside is higher prices."
But Olivia E. noted, "For most items, the prices are pretty standard for your average specialty grocery store, but noticeably more affordable than Whole Foods and our beloved co-op."
Market 5-One-5 is open from 7 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday-Thursday, and 7 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Sprouts Farmers Market
2810 Del Paso Road, North Natomas

Sprouts Farmers Market is a natural grocery store chain based in Phoenix, Arizona. The new space at 2810 Del Paso Rd. in North Natomas is its seventh in the area, but only the second Sprouts location within Sacramento proper.
Organic produce, a large natural health and wellness section, and a similarly extensive bulk foods section — including spices and teas — distinguish Sprouts from many local chain grocery stores.
The North Natomas Sprouts currently holds 4.5 stars out of 39 reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.
Yelper Erin M., who was one of the first users to review Sprouts Farmers Market on March 9, wrote, "Every nut, rice, grain or chocolate crunchy treat that you want, in the amount that you want, is there for the taking."
Moozhan T. agreed, "From bulk spices to fruits and veggies, and teas and meats and pastries, this place has a very good selection of items to choose from."
Sprouts Farmers Market is open from 7 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
Super X Market
2711 Fairfield St., Noralto

Super X Market is an international market specializing in East Asian, Southeast Asian, and Mexican groceries. After having been in the works for six years, the store at 2711 Fairfield St. in north Sacramento has finally joined the original location in Marysville.
In addition to its produce, dry staples and imported specialty items, Super X Market serves hot food, and sells a selection of housewares and kitchen implements.
With a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp, Super X Market is still finding its way, but it's early days.
Yelper Ashley A., who reviewed Super X Market on March 30, wrote, "Nice market. Lots of basic Asian grocery staples. Some Mexican varieties too. Fresh hot food area. Kitchen supplies. Clean. Friendly cashiers. Will be back."
And Yelper Lee Y. wrote, "The prices for the hot food were pricey, but they did taste pretty good. Got some spicy noodle packs on sale for $3.99 each. I like how they have some sales on special items."
Super X Market is open from 9 a.m.–7 p.m. daily.
