The Mockingbird Diner is a traditional American spot bringing classic diner staples to Northwest Dallas.
Jack Perkins, the chef behind Maple & Motor, is at the helm of this new endeavor with fellow chef Jeana Johnson at his side, D Magazine reports. Johnson has made "plenty of waves" in the city's dining scene with Good 2 Go Taco and Mot Hai Ba, an East Dallas Vietnamese spot.

Ending promptly at 11 a.m., breakfast fare includes an assortment of fresh-baked pastries such as cinnamon rolls, glazed old-fashioned doughnuts, chocolate croissants and more. Dallas Grilled Cheese Co is a new spot to score grilled cheese and more in Upper Greenville.
The new spot follows the same menu as its Bishop Arts predecessor, with a selection of — you guessed it — grilled cheese sandwiches, plus bacon-pineapple lollipops, bacon mac 'n' cheese, wings, and grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
