Craving pizza? You're in luck. A new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The newcomer to the French Quarter, called 10 Foot Pizza, is located at 740 N. Rampart St.
The eclectic space features driftwood chandeliers, oversized magnolia blossoms hanging from above and a horned sculpture with fangs and painted spikes. Tim Burton-esque skeleton murals adorn darkly painted walls and set a quirky stage for the Hail Seitan, a vegetarian pizza featuring vegan cheese, wild mushrooms, spinach and sweet potato chips; and the Buffalo "Bill" with Buffalo chicken, pork jowl, Gorgonzola cheese and jalapeño peppers.
The menu also features a selection of unusual toppings like fried alligator, braised pork shoulder, fried oysters and Cajun shrimp.
10 Foot Pizza has just two reviews on Yelp so far, awarding the establishment a five-star rating.
"This place is so cool," Yelper Hollie J. said. "You can tell the owners put a lot of time and thought into the artwork and decor. I love the magnolia tree in the center, and the pizza was delicious."
Yelper Bridget T. added, "Fantastic pizza and great atmosphere. We loved our pizza. Highly recommend."
Head on over to check it out. 10 Foot Pizza is open from noon–2 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and noon–4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
