Farm-to-Kitchen Cooking Classes: Flavors of Latin America

Ever wondered how to make your own Latin American food at home? The Kitchen at the Boston Public Market will show you how, as chef Ricardo guides students through the process of preparing shrimp ceviche, chicken mole enchiladas and tres leches cake.

Though the recipes may be far-flung, the emphasis here is on local ingredients, including Taza chocolate, Appleton Farms cream and Chestnut Farms chicken. The class concludes with a tasting of all the freshly made dishes.

Pop-up Rosé Lounge at the Taj Boston Rooftop

Toast to the beginning of summer on the roof of the Taj Boston, which will be serving up rose wines from Minuty and Cotes de Provence, paired with small bites designed to complement each wine. Live entertainment will also be provided.

"The space will be transformed into a sophisticated lounge perfect for a true summer evening," the organizers write, noting the views from the State House to Fenway Park on the 17th-floor rooftop.

Drag Brunch with Neon Calypso

"What's better than brunch? Drag!" write the organizers of this Pride Month event, noting that the combination is "an unstoppable duo." On the brunch side, expect an a la carte menu of morning treats with specialty cocktails and mimosa buckets; on the drag side, performers will include Neon Calypso, Violencia Exclamation Point, Sham Payne and Amuse Bouche.
