Hungry? A new neighborhood Southern spot has you covered. The new arrival to Downtown, called Green & Grill Global Taste, is located at 467 St. Peter St.
This spot combines traditional southern-style American grub and Greek fare. Expect menu options like gyro sandwiches, falafel and hummus, as well as southern-style jerk chicken, chicken and waffles and catfish. Cheeseburgers, Philly cheesesteaks, steak tacos and chicken wraps are found on the sandwich menu. The full menu can be seen here.
There's just one review on Yelp thus far, which gives it five stars.
Rose N., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on June 13, wrote, "On Wednesday, I had jerk chicken over rice. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender and was flavored with just the right spice. My two sides, greens and yams, were excellent!"
