Newk's Eatery is a new fast-casual spot that serves up American fare. It's the chain's first location in Fort Worth, though there are already three other locations in the greater Metroplex.

The menu is broken down into three major groupings: salads, sandwiches and pizzas. Salads include the Newk's Favorite with chicken breast, Gorgonzola cheese, sliced grapes, artichoke hearts, pecans, dried cranberries and more. Then you've got sandwiches, like the Newk's "Q" (grilled chicken, bacon, Ammerländer Swiss cheese and white barbecue sauce on French Parisian bread). For pizza, try The Debra (chicken breast, Roma tomatoes, mozzarella and Parmesan over basil pesto sauce).

There are also daily soups and freshly baked 12-layer cakes. (See the full menu here.)

Newk's Eatery's current Yelp rating of 4.5 stars out of seven reviews indicates positive feedback.

Yelper John Q., who reviewed the newcomer on June 7, wrote, "Newk's is a brand-new restaurant in the area and it's going to be popular! The store is nice and large and even has an outdoor seating area! The staff was very nice and the food came out quick (and they were slammed)!"

Yelper Roy R. wrote, "The shrimp pizza was really good! I ate the the whole thing all by myself. My wife had some salad and she loved it too. Great customer service and the staff was quick to wipe down tables for the next guests."

Newk's Eatery is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.

Fast-food chain Chick-fil-A continues to expand with a new outpost, adding to  the dozens in the Metroplex already. This location, anchored by the new Kroger shopping center, is just outside of Saginaw's borders, but it's close enough to say that it's unofficially Saginaw's first Chick-fil-A.

If you're not familiar with Chick-fil-A's menu offerings, it's strictly chicken. Menu items include chicken sandwiches, nuggets, salads (with chicken), chicken noodle soup and more, all served up with its distinctive waffle-shaped fries. You can also score shakes, fresh lemonade and other refreshing beverages.

Chick-fil-A currently holds 4.5 stars out of four reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

Yelper Skylar H., who reviewed the new spot on May 15, wrote, "Chick-fil-A always surprises me with their kindness. Their employees are insanely sweet and friendly. ... The food is always great and consistent."

Yelper Roy G. wrote, "Everyone here is very attentive; we were asked several times how everything was and if we needed anything. They also offered to freshen up our drinks. I'm glad we now have a Chick-fil-A around the corner and it's awesome that the service is excellent."

Chick-fil-A is open from 6 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)

The ketchup was made in-house, the special sauce was made in-house, my lemongrass tea was perfect and the tangerine juice was a pleasant new experience."

Yelper Cindy B. wrote, "Fresh, tasty and nutritious food with very prompt service. The two of us ordered a salad, the tabbouleh and hummus plate and the quinoa salad. We split the grilled chicken entree. It was very filling."

The Garden Market is open from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. on Tuesday-Saturday and 11 a.m.–3 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)

(See the full menu here.)
