Fish Bowl Poké is a Hawaiian-Japanese spot offering poke and more. Located next door to its acclaimed sister restaurant Ramen Kazama at 5 W. 34th St., it is also headed by chef Matthew Kazama, City Pages reports.

Bowls are customizable from the base to the toppings to the sauce, but diners can also choose just the base and protein, then have the restaurant apply one of its house styles for toppings and sauce. The K-Pop, for instance, comes with kimchi, seaweed salad, green onion, sesame seeds topped with a Korean garlic sauce.

Fish Bowl offers bottled beverages like local kombucha. As with many fast-casual poke joints, seating is minimal, with the bowls designed to be convenient for on-the-go diners. Vegan options are available, as is delivery.

Fish Bowl Poké has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 16 reviews on Yelp.

Yana P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 24, said, "Yay, more poke in Minneapolis! I love this poke. Fresh fish. Lots of choices to customize. Small seating area but it's worth it. Avocado and seaweed salad are extra but for me I'll pay."

Yelper Hannah P. added, “Fun place where you can build your own poke bowl or choose one of their menu items. The portions look kind of small, but once you're eating it, you realize it's plenty."

Head on over to check it out: Fish Bowl Poké is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday and 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed on Monday.)
