If rolled ice cream and snow balls are what you're after, look no further than this new business. Located at 10709 Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans East, the new addition is called Freezy Street.
With another location on St. Claude, this establishment offers snow balls with flavors like wedding cake, banana, cotton candy, mango, nectar, cake batter, coconut, and orchard vanilla magic — as well as rolled ice cream in flavors like banana and Nutella, Oreo cookie, house-brewed Thai tea and breakfast cereal.
Freezy Street has gotten an enthusiastic initial response thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.
"Service was great and everything tasted great," Yelper Linda L. said. "I had the chicory, which was good — and I had a bite of my nephew's breakfast cereal with Fruity Pebbles. That was delish."
Yelper Theresa N. added, “The rolled ice cream is super good. I got the My Thai and it tasted exactly like Thai tea. The guy that made my ice cream was trying to entertain me. I appreciate that, but I just want my ice cream.”
