1. Botolino Gelato Artigianale

Topping the list is family-owned Botolino Gelato Artigianale, located in Lower Greenville. Situated at 2116 Greenville Ave., the spot to score gelato, cakes, parfaits and more is the highest rated gelato spot in Dallas, boasting five stars out of 140 reviews on Yelp.
Botolino Gelato Artigianale is known for offering made-from-scratch gelato and touts its "pure, natural and wholesome ingredients" that are free of artificial flavorings, colors and preservatives. Flavor options are diverse, ranging from Persian flower and apple pie to white coffee and fig mascarpone.
2. Paciugo

Next up is West Village's Paciugo, situated at 3699 McKinney Ave. With locations from New York to California, this national chain has proven to be a local favorite with 4.5 stars out of 186 reviews on Yelp.
The business says founder Ugo Ginatta, a third-generation restaurateur, started Paciugo so he could "share his love of the tastes of Italy with the world" through his family's secret gelato recipe. And then there's Commissary, an eatery that offers gelato and more in the heart of downtown Dallas. With four stars out of 108 Yelp reviews, head over to 1217 Main St. to try it for yourself.
