A new Tex-Mex spot, offering tacos and more, has opened its doors in the Lake Highlands neighborhood. Called Taco Diner, the fresh addition is located at 7150 Skillman St., Suite 190.

This is the seventh location for the eatery, which has additional outposts in Fort Worth, Irving, Plano and Richardson.

The menu at the newest storefront includes options, like carne asada with poblano and red bell peppers, onions, salsa verde and queso fresco; crispy brisket enchiladas con queso with Oaxaca cheese, queso blanco, crema and guajillo salsa; and al pastor tacos in tres chiles with grilled pineapple and red onion.

The new spot has gotten good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of 19 reviews on Yelp.

Lynette D., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 25, said, "[The] best! Close to home! Great food! The tacos al pastor are excellent. I especially liked the cucumber/jicama slaw, so fresh."

Yelper Mariana V. added, " Wow! The food here is superb! Pricey, yes, but you can't put a price on authentic Mexican food! My favorite thing that we had that evening was the brisket queso!"
