A new Mexican and American food truck serving breakfast and lunch has debuted in the neighborhood. Called Chocho's Tacos Truck, the new arrival is located at 6700 Mack Road in North Laguna, just across the street from Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento.
The tacos on the menu are served two ways: as street tacos with just meat, salsa, onions and cilantro; and the more elaborate Chocho's tacos, which additionally come with cheese, sour cream, tomatoes and lettuce.
The taco truck also serves breakfast foods, burritos and a variety of hot and cold sandwiches like the Ultimate Panini: bacon, ham, mozzarella, grilled red onions and dill pickles on sourdough bread.
With a lone review on Yelp thus far giving it five stars, Chocho's Tacos Truck has made at least one fan.
Omar M., who reviewedthe new spot on May 25, said, "I've been searching for the Holy Grail of taco trucks and Chocho's has hit the mark. Everything from their paninis to their tacos are a must; they have a good variety of foods."
For now, Chocho's Tacos Truck is staying put, but you can check out its Facebook page to keep updated on its whereabouts. It's open from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. on weekdays. (It's closed on weekends.)
