A new nail salon has opened up shop in University City. Called Modish Nail Spa, the fresh addition is located at 8640 University City Blvd. in the Town Center Plaza, with a second location in Harrisburg. 

The modern, upscale nail salon — complete with chandeliers and wall sconces — touts its commitment to cleanliness with disposable basin liners used with each pedicure and manicure stations equipped with a vacuum system to eliminate vapors and nail dust, per its website. 

Complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks are served while you wait. Services include manicures with gel polish, nail designs, acrylic and SNS nails, deluxe pedicures and more. Waxing and children's services are also available. 

Modish Nail Spa has just two reviews on Yelp thus far. 

Jacqueline K., who reviewed the new salon on June 8, said, "Very friendly staff, great service and my pedicure was so good! The atmosphere is comfortable and this place is beautiful. I'll be back!"
