A new butcher has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 3301 Bienville St., the fresh addition is called Piece of Meat
This Mid-City establishment features sandwiches filled with items like smoked chicken salad with blueberry barbecue sauce; Italian sausage with peppers and onions; and smoked brisket with pickled red onions and horseradish. There's also a selection of snacks like smoked ribs, tomato and watermelon salad, boudin egg rolls and more. (Check out the full menu here.)
With a 4.5-star rating out of 13 reviews on Yelp so far, the new butcher seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
"So good," Yelper Heather B. said. "So far I've had the steak sandwich and the chicken salad. Both were excellent and it's obvious how much pride and care go into all aspects. You will not be disappointed with anything you order!'
Yelper Frank D. added, "This place is great. Friendly service and an awesome selection in the deli case. The specials change weekly and they do brunch on the weekends. Wonderful place."
