Looking to satisfy your appetite for Southeast Asian fare? Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best, affordable restaurants around New Orleans. Employing both Yelp data and our own secret sauce, we produced this ranked list to make your crave-hunting easier.

1. Dong Phuong

Topping the list is Dong Phuong. The Vietnamese bakery, breakfast and brunch eatery is located at 14207 Chef Menteur Highway in Village De L'Est. It's the highest rated inexpensive venue, boasting 4.5 stars out of 253 reviews on Yelp. The menu features a variety of Vietnamese breads, pastries and banh-mi sandwiches. Popular offerings include the Kaya bread, egg tart and mochi.

2. Pho Bistreaux

Next up is Leonidas's Pho Bistreaux, situated at 1200 S. Carrollton Ave., Suite A. With 4.5 stars out of 209 reviews on Yelp, the Vietnamese establishment has proven to be a local favorite for those looking for an affordable meal. House favorites here include the filet mignon pho and the pork slider buns.

3. Eat-well Food Mart

Mid-City's Eat-well Food Mart, located at 2700 Canal St., Suite A., is another prime choice, with Yelpers giving the Vietnamese convenience store 4.5 stars out of 99 reviews.

In addition to picking up liquor and lottery tickets, Yelpers often stop for an affordable meal, like a bowl of pho or a bahn mi sandwich.

And Yelper Michele M. recommends asking for an item you won't find on the the menu: the phoritto. "It was easy to eat and wasn't soggy like I had expected," she said.

4. Magasin Vietnamese Cafe

Magasin Vietnamese Cafe in East Riverside is another economic go-to, with four stars out of 275 Yelp reviews. On the menu are several pho and noodle soups, banh mi sandwiches, egg rolls, springs rolls and more. Specialty plates include a chopped filet mignon and vegan curry. 5. Pho Tau Bay Restaurant

Last, but not least, check out Pho Tau Bay Restaurant, which has earned four stars out of 263 reviews on Yelp. The restaurant offers soups, like the beef noodle pho tai or pho ga chicken noodle. There's also a number of rice platters, Vietnamese po' boy sandwiches and vegetarian options on the menu.
