Looking for a new American restaurant and bar to check out? Look no further than this new arrival. Called Maddi's Cookery & Taphouse, the new addition is located at 64 Water St.

According to the Worcester Telegram, Maddi's is the second restaurant for chef/owner Adam Hicks, who's also behind Milford's Depot Street Tavern. Joining him in the kitchen is Flying Rhino alum Christopher O’Harra, who took home a first-place Judges’ Choice award at the 2017 Worcester’s Best Chef competition.

On the menu, guests will find snacks like buffalo chicken meatballs with fennel-apple slaw and charred potatoes with mustard vinaigrette and candied bacon. Main courses include pretzel-crusted salmon in a smoked tomato broth and the "Twisted Cuban," a burger topped with mojo pork, Swiss cheese, pickles and dijon mustard aioli.

The beer menu spans 20 taps, from Great North's Robust Vanilla Porter to Commonwealth Brewing's Body by Victoria IPA.

The new addition has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.

T L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 25, wrote, "Great new restaurant! We went there on Friday night (their first Friday open) and everything was on point. The renovations transformed the atmosphere to give it a fun taphouse feel."

Yelper Michael A. added, “This restaurant is a must-try! Cool, laid-back atmosphere, welcoming to kids and [has an] open kitchen to witness the magic as it takes place. Drink selection was excellent, with a great variety of craft beers."

And Eva G. wrote, "Stopped here with a friend after yoga class, and we got drinks and food. I liked the restaurant atmosphere and decor and the drink menu was great!"
