Women in Tech Symposium with Grand Circus and Google
Join Grand Circus and Google for a day-long symposium aimed at bridging the gap between local employers, professional women and rising female students.
The day's programming will feature a keynote speech by Graci Harkema, the regional inclusion and diversity manager at TEKsystems. Attendees can also take advantage of breakout sessions — ranging from a coding bootcamp information session and the opportunity to chat one-on-one with a Google recruiter to discussions on work-life balance and the importance of tooting your own horn in the workplace.

BIZ Connect: Understanding the Downtown Community
Interested in learning more about the key issues impacting the Downtown business community? Then don't miss Downtown BIZ Connect, hosted by the Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone.
Local police officer Steven Shank and Sojourner Jones of the Northeast Guidance Center will be on hand to discuss homelessness, panhandling and mental illness in the area, including support resources available and the basic de-escalation techniques.
