"Coco" at the RFK Festival Grounds

Part of a summer movie series happening around the city, this week's feature will be Disney's "Coco," the hit 3D computer-animated film inspired by Mexico's Day of the Dead holiday. The event is free but with its optional ticket registration you're automatically entered into a free raffle. Free food provided while supplies last; organizers recommend bringing your own blankets, chairs and snacks. Alcohol and glass bottles are prohibited.

The original "Westworld" at the NAS

The original sci-fi movie that inspired today's television show will be screening at the National Academy of Sciences. Before the show begins on the lawn outside, the academy is inviting guests inside to "snap some photos at the Westworld selfie station and explore other hands-on activities related to AI and robotics," according to the event description. Organizers suggest bringing a blanket and picnic, and note that food trucks will also be located nearby. No alcohol allowed.

2018 LOC Summer Movies on the Lawn - The Goonies

"The Goonies" will be playing in this week's installment of the Library summer series featuring films entered into the National Film Registry. Set in Astoria, Oregon, the cult classic follows a group of kids trying to find buried treasure in order to save their family's home from foreclosure.
