Israeli chain Cafe Landwer is expanding in Boston with its second U.S. cafe. Located at 383 Chestnut Hill Ave. in the Brighton neighborhood, the new eatery has brought its fresh-roasted coffee and Mediterranean menu to Cleveland Circle.
The cafe opened its first local outpost in the Audubon Circle earlier this year, Eater Boston reports. Its mostly vegetarian offerings include breakfasts like poached eggs in spiced tomato sauce and tahini, and Greek yogurt and granola with berries and honey.
There's a smoked salmon sandwich with cream cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, capers and Parmesan, and some Italian offerings as well, including ravioli and pizza. The coffees are house-made blends of beans sourced from Africa, India and Latin America.
The newest Cafe Landwer has just one review on Yelp, which gives it a five-star rating thus far.
Adelina K., who reviewed the new spot on July 15, wrote, "Atmosphere is so inviting. Love their new location. It looked like they had a private room and patio seating that wasn't open yet. We tried the chocolate babka, and it was the perfect amount of sweetness to end the night."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Cafe Landwer is open from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. daily.
