A new Taiwanese spot has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located at 154 Harvard Ave. in Allston, the fresh arrival is called Cheers Cut.

Cheers Cut, which shares a space with bubble tea shop Gong Cha, specializes in fast-casual Taiwanese eats like fried chicken, fried squid and "ninja" chicken nuggets. There are also a few grilled items, including beef and chicken. Items can be ordered a la carte or as a combo with vegetables and a side of white, fried, or curried rice.

The menu is rounded out with fries, fried tofu and a few nonalcoholic drinks, like grapefruit green tea. Customers can also pair their snacks with a bubble tea from Gong Cha.

With a 4.5-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition has already made a good impression.

Andrea L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 14, wrote, "Where can I find both Taiwanese fried chicken and good bubble tea from Gong Cha? Here! Cheers Cut shares its location with Gong Cha, so you can order both at the same time."

Yelper Connie D. added, “I thought the chicken and squid was going to be dry but I was so wrong. Perfectly cooked on the inside, and tasty breading on the outside."

And Emilé Y. wrote, "It's located in the same space as Gong Cha, so you can grab your fried foods and boba at the same time! I got the fried squid, which they claim is an entire squid cut up, but there's no way it was an entire one. Maybe half of one. I recommend the classic salt and pepper and the Thai sweet sour sauce. Great service, quick place to drop by and go!"

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Cheers Cut is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday and 11 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday.
