Looking to devour the best burgers around town?

Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top burger hot spots in Metairie, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to satisfy your cravings.

1. Atomic Burger

Topping the list is Atomic Burger. Located at 3934 Veterans Blvd., this fast-food joint is the highest-rated burger spot in Metairie, boasting four stars out of 221 reviews on Yelp.

It's not a complicated menu: beef, turkey or portobello burgers, french fries or edamame, and drinks. But the details count. Burgers can be topped with house-roasted poblano peppers or bacon-onion jam. Fries can be dipped in Sriracha mayonnaise, roasted garlic aioli or spicy ketchup. Not to be outdone, the shakes are chilled with liquid nitrogen.

2. Po-Boy King

Next up is Po-Boy King, situated at 805 Homestead Ave. This small sandwich outlet takes its burgers seriously. Specialties include burgers topped with blue cheese; jalapeño peppers, salsa and pepper jack; and onion rings and Jack Daniel's barbecue sauce.

Round out your meal with sides like crinkle-cut fries, jalapeño poppers or shrimp spring rolls. A wide variety of po'boys are also on the menu. With 4.5 stars out of 55 reviews on Yelp, the spot has proven to be a local favorite.

3. MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes is another go-to, with four stars out of 124 Yelp reviews. It's counter service, so order, take your number and grab a seat.

Offerings include an Angus beef patty on a potato or multigrain bun, topped with veggies (pickle, lettuce, onion, green chiles) and one of several sauces, including ketchup and spicy ranch. 4. Tic-Toc Cafe

Check out Tic-Toc Cafe, which has earned four stars out of 97 reviews on Yelp. They have an "around the clock" special that doles out a burger, fries and Coke for $6.99.

Try the cheeseburger, mushroom burger or patty melt. The rest of the menu consists of classic diner fare like omelets, hash browns, chicken fried steak and salads. You can find it at 3205 36th St.

5. The Harbor Bar & Grill

Finally, there's The Harbor Bar & Grill, a local favorite with four stars out of 81 reviews. Regulars appreciate the outdoor patio, where they can dine on 4-ounce sliders, the 8-ounce Harbor Jr. or the grown-up 12-ounce Harbor Burger.
